Shortly after Flipboard announced its biggest partnership to date -- full integration with The New York Times -- news emerged that two prominent Conde Nast titles, The New Yorker and Wired, would no longer serve optimized versions of their online content through the app. Both magazines will also cease delivering advertising on the platform.

The word 'legacy' is becoming a term of abuse in the publishing revolution, but a long history of bringing great writing to committed readers is nothing to be ashamed ofThe near-Orwellian debate about "publishers bad, Amazon good" or "Amazon bad, publishers good" strikes me as symptomatic of the degree of revolution taking place in reading.
